Harley-Davidson Canada wanted to create something uniquely Canadian for their in-store digital signage. So VMG produced a series of spots to simulate the true experience of a Canadian Harley owner. The first spot was shot on location in the Yukon and followed a live rally of more than 100 riders over 72 hours. By capturing the ruggedness of the terrain and the riders in this unique location we were able to showcase what being a Harley owner is all about.
For the next two spots VMG worked with one of Canada’s most famous Harley owners: Mr. Dan Aykroyd. Working with a national treasure often has its restrictions, and this shoot was no exception – Aykroyd only had three hours to shoot both of the spots. In the end the shoot went off without a hitch and even Aykroyd was impressed: “VMG has a great crew, they’re a very professional group and a pleasure to work with.”
Although all of these spots were originally intended for the Canadian market, Harley-Davidson USA was so pleased with the results that they showcased the videos in US dealerships as well.
